The need to integrate multiple data sources does not mandate a complex and proliferated network infrastructure that is unwieldy and difficult to support. The Ultra Communicate range of modular products and solutions enables effective communication between sites in an enterprise network using a single telecommunications platform that aggregates and transmits two-way voice/data over almost any bearer (radio, satellite or terrestrial).

Products and Solutions in the Ultra Communicate product line include:

VadEDGE
The VadEDGE platform supports a wide range of protocols, WAN and user interfaces. This enables customers to aggregate and effectively deliver multiple service streams over almost any bearer communications medium including GSM, PSTN, ISDN, Leased Line and Satellite (VSAT).
Combining voice (analogue and/or digital) with packet data services such as fax, IP, POS, ATM and now GSM with GPS support, VadEDGE efficiently and cost effectively manages bandwidth through dynamic packet fragmentation and compresses voice to 7Kbps whilst ensuring Quality of Service. As a consequence, regardless of whether they’re located at a regional office, remote branch or even deployed to a location miles from civilisation, workers are able to communicate swiftly, clearly and securely with central control teams and send/receive data that enables them to fulfil their role. icon Download VadEDGE Datasheet

VadEDGE SADIS 2G
The VadEDGE SADIS 2G Router has been developed to be deployed as part of the SADIS 2G receiving solution, providing World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) data to end users.  The receiving solution consists of the VadEDGE SADIS 2G Router, a third party Satellite Receiving solution and a workstation running a Visualisation application. The VadEDGE SADIS 2G Router can also be configured to output either TCP, UDP or X.25 data streams. An added benefit is that the X.25 stream is backward compatible with SADIS 1G X.25. icon Download VadEDGE SADIS Datasheet

VadACCESS
The AEP VadACCESS is a chassis based platform that provides a robust, reliable and highly supportable solution to the demand for multi-service communication and vastly increased bandwidth efficiency. Enabling the full range of voice and data services between organisations’ headquarters and their regional and often remote branch locations, AEP VadACCESS is the result of many years’ experience in delivering converged solutions in complex environments. The VadACCESS platform addresses the challenges of enterprise and service provider customers who have specialist communication convergence needs, combining flexible support for a wide range of protocols with digital and analogue voice services. Thanks to its high port density capability, the Series V serves the communication needs of organisations that have a large user footprint at their branch locations. icon Download VadACCESS Datasheet

VadIX
The AEP VadIX is a single, high-end VPN termination platform that introduces a core switching and concentration capability enabling organisations to manage the increasing complexity of their expanding networks. Located at the control centre, VadIX enables them to manage the communication of voice and multiple data services at their control centre to and from their mobile, regional and often remotely located teams. The architecture features a high speed Bus with 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces with dual power supplies. As standard the VadIX has a hot swap capability as well as the ability to manage high speed links in a completely scalable fashion. icon Download VadIX Datasheet

MegaPAC V-IX
The AEP MegaPAC V-IX platform is a new generation of product, which is able to leverage high-end processors while protecting the skills our customers have in the operating system. Although we have introduced a user-friendly interface the essential strengths of our operating system are preserved. Large networks typically require complex configurations and as they expand become increasingly dependant on the ability to easily manage these while maintaining the flexibility of adequate processing power. The architecture features a 16-slot high speed cPCI BUS based on the PICMG 2.16 standard. All modules are hotswap with an option for a second standby/failover CPU. Each MegaPAC V-IX chassis supports up to 80 serial ports at speeds of 2Mbps and dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. The clustering function enables even higher redundancy to be added, if required. Up to 4 MegaPAC V-IX chassis can be configured in a single cluster with automatic configuration synchronisation across all systems. icon Download MegaPAC V-IX Datasheet

The Ultra Communicate Deployable Communications range of solutions have been designed for businesses, governments and commercial organisations that have a need for a fast deployable and secure remote communications solution for day-to-day operations, and in emergency situations where conventional communications is not available, or when it is uneconomical to supply fixed telecom infrastructures.

SecComm Defence
The Defence version provides armed forces with a fully functional office capability anywhere in the world through the creation of the ‘Field Service Pack (FSP) the Concentrator Service Pack (CSP) and the Mini FSP. The office environment is rugged, secure and fully deployable, whether by air, land or sea, with all the elements of the solution contained within an environmentally hardened case approved to defence standards. The solution allows the users to conform more successfully to the principles of modern expeditionary operations, particularly military and peacekeeping deployments, with true freedom of movement without the reliance on fixed telephone lines. SecComm Tempest
The SCT-5100 is an encryption module enabling CAPS Enhanced Grade (IL4) security for the protection of UK and EU Confidential data in high threat TEMPEST environments. The module is assured to SDIP-27 Level A, the most stringent TEMPEST standard, for devices that will operate in NATO Zone 0 Environments, where it is assumed that an attack has almost immediate access (e.g. neighbouring room). The SCT-5100 TEMPEST module contains an AEP ED20M CAPS approved Enhanced Grade encryption device and an AEP VE4150 router with an optional integrated data compression module, and fibre and RJ45 Copper LAN connections. This makes the SCT-5100 TEMPEST particularly suitable for deploying a team of staff with a requirement to access data services and applications (including VoIP) to sites outside of protected facilities. icon·Download Tempest Datasheet

Managing complex infrastructures is an increasing challenge for IT professionals. This is especially true for diverse enterprises that cater for mobile users that require central, secure connectivity regardless of where they are located. Ultra Communicate range of management products include:

MegaWATCH is an SNMP software-based Network Management Application designed and developed by AEP Networks. Auto Configurator Manager (ACM) was principally designed as configuration architecture to enable VSAT Service Providers to quickly and efficiently manage their satellite/terrestrial network connectivity issues in cases of modem failure. ACM continuously monitors traffic and transparently changes the routing to match the current connectivity, e.g. satellite, ISDN, GSM, PSTN, Lease Line. The cut-over requires little or no management or operator intervention and is initiated on the arrival of the first packet. ACM maintains service and IP addresses, with minimal or zero operator intervention. icon·Download ACM Datasheet

Auto Sky Roaming (ASR) provides seamless switching between different satellites/network connections, with little or no operator intervention. In operation, the solution continuously monitors traffic and transparently changes the routing to match the current connectivity e.g. Satellite, ISDN, PSTN, Wireless, Lease Lines. The cut over requires little or no management or operator intervention and is initiated on the arrival of the first data packet. The solution can provide an automated satellite roaming capability for the maritime sector, dramatically increasing the operational functionality of overlapping network footprints. For example, the seamless switch or blending between FleetBroadband and VSAT, the ASR solution auto detects the shift to the new satellite and initiates the voice and data traffic re-routing within the central site hub (earth station).· ASR initiates the change on the arrival of the first packet from the new location and operates completely automatically without the need for operator intervention. icon·Download ASR Datasheet
